The Sea Puffer Cruise Experience
Our cruises may take you to the Caribbean, Alaska, Europe, Panama Canal, Pacific Coast and Hawaii. Land tours may include the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas, a Northwest train excursion, Florida, and city tours. We welcome your suggestions!
Once you book space with us, our Respiratory Therapists will give you a call to discuss your oxygen and mobility needs. They will then arrange to have everything you need from start to finish. If you are flying to the port we will assist in flight arrangements and your oxygen needs during your flight. We meet you at your gate in the port city with oxygen and transfer you to the hotel or ship. Our Sea Puffers arrive a day early and stay overnight in the port city to be relaxed for their first day aboard the ship. We then transfer everything to the ship, and at the end of the cruise to the airport.
Cabin assignments can be arranged so that they have connecting doors or are near each other. There are also accessible cabins with wider doorways for wheelchairs and scooters; showers without a step and shower chairs. Beds can be in a king or 2 twin arrangements. There are cabins in which 3-4 people can stay.
During our cruises we try to have group gatherings. At these informal meetings we discuss hobbies, family, caregivers, and coping with special needs among other topics. Our Respiratory Therapists keep a close watch on your oxygen saturation levels and hold seminars about new developments and ideas. There are usually many handouts from our RTs as well.
Our friends at OxyView Glasses (http://www.oxyview.com) provide a certificate for a free set of Oxyiew Glasses that we give away with each cruise. Our goal is to have you enjoy a relaxing cruise to interesting ports while meeting new people and exchanging your knowledge with others in the group while learning from other cruisers and the RTs. We want you to be able to do this without the hassle of worrying about your oxygen and equipment arrangements. Your supplementary insurance may cover the expense of the oxygen and equipment. We do not charge you to make the oxygen arrangements, you will pay the provider directly. Someone is always the life of the party!
